Mike Fowler
Mike joined the Berkshire Hathaway Group of Companies in 2011. He is President & CEO of Affordable Housing Partners, Inc. for Berkshire and is actively involved in the acquisition of Tax Credit properties. Previously, Mike was the President (and founder) of SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners, Inc. Mike was with SunAmerica since 1988, where he was actively involved in AIG SunAmerica’s tax advantaged investments, including leveraged equipment leasing, investment tax credit and low income housing tax credit transactions. Prior to joining SunAmerica, Mike was Vice President, Taxes of Homestead Savings and Loan Association and was previously the Director of Taxation of the national real estate investment firm of Fox & Carskadon Financial Corporation (now SSR Realty Advisors, Inc.), where he was responsible for the tax review of property acquisitions and property sales, as well as partnership taxation for its public and private real estate limited partnerships. Before joining Fox & Carskadon, Mike was a Senior Tax Accountant at Deloitte, Haskins and Sells in San Francisco. Mike received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Washington and his Master’s Degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California.
