He also led AbbVie through an end-to-end recrafting of the development and commercialization process for combination products including deploying a platform strategy that substantially de-risked development, accelerated timelines and proactively enabled scale-up. Krishna completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), and his MBA from MIT’s Sloan School. He started his career as an academic at UAB where he developed a laboratory to support applied research and development of various types of minimally invasive interventional devices, such as stents for cardiac and neurological applications. Subsequently, he transitioned to industry, spending over 20 years in roles with increasing levels of responsibility at both J&J and AbbVie.
